CLINIC POLICIES FOR INDIVIDUALS
For participants, a deposit of $200 is required to secure your spot, with the balance of $165 due ten days prior to the beginning of the clinic. For auditors, if spaces are limited, full payment is required to guarantee your spot. Payment can be made by cash, e-transfer, and PayPal.
Deposit is non-refundable but remains transferrable (to another date or converted to a gift certificate) up until TEN days prior to the start of the clinic. Within ten days of the clinic, if you become unable to attend for any reason, it is your responsibility to find someone to buy your spot from you, otherwise you forfeit your deposit. For auditors, payment is non-refundable within ten days of the clinic, but may be transferred (to another date or converted to a gift certificate).
Clinics scheduled during the winter months remain somewhat at the mercy of Mother Nature. I will use my best discretion and will not encourage anyone to be hauling horses on icy roads; nor will we be working in unheated arenas in especially cold temperatures (daytime highs below -15C). In these instances, I will communicate with the participants leading up to the clinic to determine the best course of action. If possible, the clinic will be rescheduled to the following weekend. If that is not a workable solution, other dates will be discussed, and a solution found that works for the most people. If the rescheduled date does not work for you, you will be offered the opportunity to transfer your registration to a later date, or your deposit will be credited in the form of a gift certificate.
CLINIC POLICIES FOR ORGANIZERS
Clinics cost $1695 for the first two days, plus $700 for each additional day or part-day. Travel, accommodation, and meals are additional. You decide on the cost to individual participants and auditors if you choose to have them.
Due to the limited number of dates available, I require a deposit of 50% no later than SIX WEEKS prior to the scheduled date. The balance is due one week before the beginning of the clinic. Payment can be made by cash, e-transfer, and PayPal.
Deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred to another date within one year of the originally scheduled date. Cancellations made within seven days of the scheduled date are responsible for the full clinic fee and any associated costs.
I teach year-round. Clinics will proceed rain, shine, or snow unless the conditions become unsafe. Please note my cancellation policy and use your best discretion when booking winter dates.
For insurance reasons, there may not be any dogs off-leash in the clinic area. I would prefer if there were no dogs present at all, and disruptive dogs will be asked to leave.
You as the organizer are responsible for logistics, advertising, communicating with and recruiting participants, and collecting payment and paperwork from individuals. I can provide some basic promotional materials upon request.
I am optimistically booking 2021 dates provided that strict health protocol, including the wearing of masks, physical distancing, and diligent sanitizing and disinfecting will be enforced. Clinic formats will be designed to avoid close contact and unnecessary movement around the premises.
Every person present will be required to sign a COVID-19 attestation and waiver.
In the event that local public health measures and/or travel restrictions prevent a clinic from going ahead as scheduled, it will either be postponed to a later date, or, if possible, converted to an online format.
